Terms of use

Last updated: 7 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and MindCraft Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us") for using the Bhagavatam app and bhagavatam.app (together, "Bhagavatam"). By creating an account or using Bhagavatam you accept them. Please also read our privacy notice.

1. Who can use Bhagavatam

You must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's verified consent given through the app. Study groups are open only to people aged 18 or older. You must give true information when you sign up, keep your sign-in secure, and you are responsible for what happens on your account.

2. What Bhagavatam offers

Bhagavatam helps you read and study the Bhagavad Gita and related scriptures: verses with meanings, the audio Gita, videos, Live Darshan, the Panchang and festival calendar, reminders, the chanting coach, Ask, share cards, challenges, study groups and certificates. Bhagavatam is free to use. We may add, change or remove features, and we will tell you in the app about changes that matter.

3. Ask and AI answers

  • Ask answers are generated by AI from the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam and Mahabharata. They can be wrong or incomplete. Always check the cited verse.
  • Ask is for study and reflection. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it is not an emergency or crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number or a helpline shown in the app.
  • You may ask a limited number of questions each day, as shown in the app.
  • Do not use Ask to try to get around its rules, to extract its instructions, or to produce content that breaks these terms.

4. Audio, Panchang and festival dates

  • The Hindi and Odia audio of the Gita uses an AI voice, and its explanations are drafted with AI. They can contain mistakes. Tell us through feedback in the app if you find one.
  • The Panchang (tithi, nakshatra, sunrise, Rahu Kaal and the rest) and the festival dates are worked out by the app for the city and panjika you choose. Printed panjikas and temples can differ by a few minutes, and sometimes by a day. When they differ, follow your printed panjika or your temple.
  • Auspicious days for marriage, thread ceremony, house-warming and other ceremonies are shown as listed in a printed panjika, for information only. Confirm the day and time with your purohit before you fix a ceremony.
  • The Panchang is not astrological or personal advice.

5. Community rules

In challenges and study groups you agree to:

  • keep discussion to the Gita, Bhagavatam and Mahabharata;
  • be kind: no abuse, harassment, hate, threats or personal attacks;
  • not post anything unlawful, obscene, defamatory, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • not promote products or services, post links to other apps, or share anyone's personal contact details;
  • not impersonate anyone or pretend to speak for us.

You can block or mute people and report messages. Moderators review reports and may remove content, warn, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content

You own what you write (for example, group messages and feedback). You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, show and process it only to run Bhagavatam, for example to show your messages to members of your group, and to moderate it. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except where the law requires us to keep it.

7. Our content

The Sanskrit verses are in the public domain. The meanings, explanations, videos, illustrations, design and software of Bhagavatam belong to us or our licensors. You may read, share verse cards and use Bhagavatam for personal, non-commercial study. You may not copy, scrape, sell or republish our content, or use it to train AI models, without our written permission. Open-source software in the app is listed on the licences page.

8. Things you must not do

  • break the law, or help someone else break it, using Bhagavatam;
  • try to access accounts, data or systems you are not allowed to, or interfere with Bhagavatam's security;
  • use bots or automated tools to use Bhagavatam, or overload it;
  • copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

9. Certificates

Certificates record that a reader completed a chapter or the Gita in the app. They are not academic qualifications. Anyone can check one on the certificate check page. We may revoke a certificate earned by breaking these terms.

10. Other services

Some features use other services, such as YouTube for Live Darshan, WhatsApp or other apps you share a card to, and Google or Apple for sign-in. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time (see how to delete your account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or to protect other people. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why and how to ask us to review the decision.

12. No warranty

Bhagavatam is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate, safe and available, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, or that its content suits any particular purpose.

13. Limit of our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on Ask answers, Panchang and festival dates, auspicious days or other content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern; see the grievances page. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be decided by the courts of India that have jurisdiction.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; if you keep using Bhagavatam after that, the new terms apply. Questions: support@bhagavatam.app.
